Whens the best time to go to hawaii and catch some waves?

like what season dates ect and like, where at in hawaii, the city?

December with out a doubt.  North shore of Oahu or Hookipa Beach in Maui excellent windsurfing there.

IF you already know how to surf, the north shore of Oahu is great in the winter.  If you don't already know how to surf, don't go there.  Go to Waikiki in the summer.  The surf "travels" depending on the season.

Winter.  On Oahu, the surf competitions are held in January when the famous pipeline located on the North Shore is most fierce.

In the winter there are big waves on the north shore. In the summer it can be big on the south.

During Dec / Jan, we've got those winter swells!  You can go anywhere on the island, but mostly the North Shore is pumpin'  Go big or go home!  =P
