Usually rinks have a pro shop with professionals who will fit you for skates according to your level.

If she is a competitive skater-

Try to get a pair from a skate sale.

Or somewhere like ***** sports shop.

If she skates recreationally-

Skates are VERY expensive so you should stick with rental skates untill she becomes serious about excelling in this sport.

well it depends what you want to do. If your plannin on training and competing than i would invest in a good pair of skates.. you can order online at Durhams (spelling) or d**k's Sporting Goods. But, if your only planning on going every once in a while maybe you could go to a thrift shop and get a pair for a few bucks or just buy a cheaper pair.

I'd just do a google search for "ice skates for children".    Also, you might try looking in Thrift Stores in your area.  I shop at those alot and the ones here in my area seem to have alot of them.  

Another place to try might be Ebay.

What type of skating, and what level of skating will the 10 year old be doing? I'd suggest finding a local skating pro shop so they can be sized for skates. Good luck!
