  1. hi

doing the course wont make you an electrician

you have to do your city and giulds course first at colledge pass that then do the 16 edition then do your nvq with a company so you can get passed on the practical work

i know i went to enrol at my local colledge and was dissapointed when i was told

im 50 so no company would want me as a trainee

so a couple of years doing c+g then 16 edition meanwhile you have to get employed by a company to do the practical

then another year doing testing certificate if you want it

years ago it was all done at colledge now its a right balls up and stops people like me doing it as im self employed

  2. The local colleges who teach electrical engineering will do it. The course can be done one evening a week for about 10 weeks. It is not a long course.

Ring the colleges and ask when the next course is, they are run throughout the year.
