Question:

Where's A Good PlaceTo Run At Night In The South Bay?

I hit the gym 4x a week, but I hate running on the treadmill, it's like running on a hamster wheel. Anyway, where's a good spot for someone living in The South Bay to run (at night).

Let's just say I live in the El Camino Village area. I used to go to Wilson park in Torrance, but gas prices are too high for me to go jogging there (it's the best though).

  1. I wouldn't recommend running the beach at night unless there are a lot of people out. Your best bet would be PCH/Sepulveda only because there are always people around (Just dont run in the street if you dont want to die!). Also there is a running track by the Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center that is well lit and there are usually soccer games going on. This way there are people around... so you will be safer! I also believe they just resurface the track and actually put in a rubber running track in addition to the dirt running track that was already there.

  2. In my opinion, running in Los Angeles is not safe. If you insist on doing this I suggest you run with a friend. The beach is a good place to run and the resistence of the sand under feet is an added bonus to the run. If you take turns driving there, you will save money on gas too. Just be careful! There are alot of crazy people out there!

  3. you should try running on the campus of el camino college, the campus is nice, people probably jog there all the time

  4. Do they allow people to run the track inside the football stadium? I haven't been to El Camino campus in a long time, but I used to run the track after class some times.
