Question:

Where's Saturn??? When can I buy a Plug-In Vue Hybrid?

So GM has released press on the upcoming Vue Plug-In Hybrid. With the ability to drive 10 miles on just the lithium batteries, and get a combined 70 MPG I could really use a small SUV like that for my wife who never really drives more then 10 miles away.

The first real two-mode GM hybrid will be released this fall as the Tahoe/Yukon. The Vue will be next and the then year after that hopefully a plug-in. GM's Volt is due to be released 2012 as an electric vehicle with onboard generator powered by a fuel cell, or a turbo gas engine, or possibly a turbo diesel.

Anyone have any info?

  1. There is a review here linked to many other reviews:

    Saturn's official site:

    http://www.saturn.com/saturn/vehicles/vu...

(click "find retailer" at the lower right and enter your zip code to find a dealership)

I'm a big fan of Saturn and their philosophy.  I also would rather buy and American made car.  This is all really great news!

  2. I have read the specs on the Saturn Vue Hybrid and it looks like the hybrid engine in it only provides a miniscule MPG boost.  It looks like this car is just for GM to try to cash in on the Hybrid craze.

Get a Toyota or a Honda if you want a hybrid, don't be scammed by the Big-3.

    Thanks for the clarification.

Note that Toyota intends to have a 80-100 MPG Prius out in 2008 or early 2009, so GM will still be behind.

  3. www.saturn.com - the website should have a dealership locator engine on it.

  4. The Auto Mall. Look on their website. Go to www.puregreencars.com
