The RIU Caribe. THE best hotel! All inclusive resort. Huge 125 yard pool, swim up bar, daily poolside and nightly ampitheatre entertainment. Great shows! Awsome powder beaches. A steak house, japanese,mexican, and italian restaurants on the resort. Food is exellent. Breakfast is W O W!  Beautiful resort with beautiful staff. Lobby bar pool bar and a sports bar with 24 hrs food! Good for late night munchies! Ive been there 10 days in dec 7 days in january and 5 days in march. There are alot of attractive people at this resort. Its top notch. There are three RIU's in cancun. Whe you stay at one, your all inclusive arm band is good at all three! BONUS!!!! Best idea is to rent a car. Go west to Chichen Itza about 1 1/2 hrs to the ruins. Or south for 1 1/2 hours to Tulum. Both are cool! Merida is where you go to get "mexican" prices. Very beautiful city!!!! Its 3hrs drive down a beautuful autobahn cut from the jungle  and has macaws and flocks of parakeets and flamingos. The Yucatan Is spectacular!

I like this site for resort reviews because its there top picks and the reviews link you to trip advisor.  Riu didn't get that great reviews.  I always read the reviews before I book a resort.  Le blanc got good reviews. check it out! http://redhotescapes.com/  you can also go to the forums
