I'm going to Chi-town for the first time and want to eat some authentic Chicago food. I'm from Jersey and prefer our pizza, Chicago deep dish is not for me. Any suggestions? Thanks.

  1. I'd recommend The Berghoff. Sooo good. My favorite is their apple french onion soup and they are famous for their root beer. Also, as a bonus, a scene from The Dark Knight was filmed there so its kinda cool.

  2. Pizanos

    Tavern on Rush

    Kamahachi

    Tsunami

  3. There are a ton of amazing restaurants in Chicago. A good pizza place is Pizza Capri on Belmont and Sheffield - they have thin crust pizza as well as deep dish, so you don't have to get the deep dish Chicago pizza.

One of my favorites is Uncommon Ground. There's live music, a great bar, and a menu varied enough for everyone. It's on the corner of Devon and Clark.

But if you want authentic Chicago food, you have to find someplace that serves an authentic Chicago hot dog- no ketchup! There are a ton of corner joints that do that.

  4. Orleys in hydepark chicago.

    Very good Ribs there To!!

  5. Last time i was there we hit "Boston Blackies" awesome steaks, the fillet was incredible, from KC I believe
