  1. Johny Foxes its in the Dublin mountains and you dont have to book.

  2. Definately the highest pub in Ireland, Johnny Foxes!

it should be exactly what you are looking for

  3. Johnny Foxes and the Brazen head it's the oldest pub in Ireland it has great traditional music every night!

  4. There are a few places around, but honestly, you'd be better off getting out of Dublin and heading out into the smaller places, particularly in the west. Counties Kerry and Cork have thriving trad scene, as does County Limerick.

  5. many good pubs along Lower Baggot st, off St. Stephens Green should make sure you enjoy the Craic.

  6. temple bar area is good, also the parnell square/street is worth checking out

  7. almost every bar in templebar as live music every night

or the arlington hotel on the riverside is a great night  a full four hour show and it is free I guarantee you will not be disappointed. you have to arrive early because it does get full

and the meals they serve are out of this world and best of all it is comparatively cheap for 1st Class entertainment
