Where's a good place to have a small dinner party in NYC?

Question

My friend and I would like to have a small dinner party with our families the evening of our college graduation (which is a Sunday). We are looking to spend no more than $50 a head, and it would be around 10 people. Anywhere in Queens or Manhattan would be fine. Thanks!

if you like italian you should try out vivolo, or bar vetro (same owners) really good food, good prices. vivolo is on 74th and lex, can get a private room, very classic italian, bar vetro is on 58th btwn 2nd-3rd. more modern, will set up a table for you.

A number of yrs. ago (2000) I went to NYC and my friend who lives in Queens took me to a nice small italian restaurant called I think LUNA's.  It's in Manhattan near Mulberry St.  the food was really good and I don't remember it being expensive.. As an added bonus you can tell everyone that it was in the movie MADE with Vince Vaughn the scene with Sean Combs....!  Just a little fun tidbit!
