Looking for a nice spot for lunch tomorrow (Monday 5/5/08) in southern coastal Maine - probably between Kittery and Portland. A scenic spot would be nice, or a place with sites to walk around after eating. Looking for typical Maine seafood menu - Lobster, haddock, clam chowder, etc.

Have been to Barnicle Billy's a couple times in Ogunquit and enjoyed it. That is in the running for tomorrow.

Thanks.

  1. Try going a bit further north, to Nova Scotia. Best lobster in the world, everywhere in NS.

  2. There's a great little restuarant in Freeport (home of L.L. Bean) called The Lobster Cooker. *mmmmm* And there is no better place to walk around after you've eaten. It's full of outlet stores! (Oh and Billy's is delicious!!)

  3. The Clam Bucket on 5th.

  4. There are several great spots along the waterfront in Portland. We ate at a seedy looking place right on the water. I cannot remember the name, but it was definitely a locals joint and it was fabulous!

  5. red lobster??
