Where's a nice place in the Naples Sanibel Island area for us to sneak off to for a couple of days?

We need a little getaway and were thinking about hitting the Southwest side of Florida. Can you recommend some hotels, restaurants and must-see/do places? Thanks!

I would suggest the  Seaside Inn

The minute you check in to the Seaside Inn, you know it will be a good experience. The staff is beyond amazing in helping with where to go, directions on how to get there, relevent info on almost any activity you would want to do.

If you are looking for post-modern high-rise luxury resorts--look elsewhere. This is a quaint older complex but in no way does its age show through except in a homey, relaxing atmosphere that can erase a year's worth of stress in just a few days.

They have complementary bikes available to use on the Island that made me wish my knee surgery had gone better so I could have tried them out! But it did not stop me from going on the beach. The beach is like heaven. If you want beach chairs and umbrellas put on the beach for you, the staff is quick to oblige. I didn't sit--I walked and walked and walked. The beauty was just amazing. While I hunted for shells, my husband fished. He didn't catch any record breakers, but he had fun!

Now, Sanibel is our #1 dream vacation (hopefully annually) thanks to the Seaside Inn!
