Where's everyone going on holiday this summer?

I'm going on a cruise round the med :). I really want to travel the world when I'm old enough. Maybe get a motorbike and go through Europe and the USA...oh yeahhhh!

Unfortunately, here in the USA, people get only 14 days on average for vacation, and, due to the intense pressure from employers, most people do not even use their full two weeks.

Personally, I have not had a vacation in over two years.  I work in a high paying sales position, and am sometimes asked why I am not working 18 hours per day, since I am on commission, and would make more money that way.

The idea that I want to spend time with my family, or even alone, away from the office, is a foreign (no pun intended) concept to many employers.  This pressure, on top of high gasoline prices (which have affected the prices of many other items) will keep many American's from having a "holiday" this summer.

I'm going to Texas for a girls trip and to Pittsburgh area to camp.  Can't wait!!!

A Mediterranean cruise sounds cool.  My wife and I are going to upstate New York (primarily because she has family and friends there -- my choice was to fly to San Diego, rent a car, and travel up the California coast all the way to San Francisco, stopping to visit all my friends and relatives there, but that would have cost a heck of a lot more).  Motorbiking Europe would be good too, but I'd advise a car for the U.S.

good question that's where i want 2 know where my friend are going i mean I'm not going anyway, but all of my friends are going somewhere. this is the most boring summer vacation i ever have.
