  1. If you go to Gabriel's Wharf (a 5 min walk) there is a lovely organic pizza place and also a pub which does upmarket pub food. Yummy.

  2. The Founders Arms  near Blackfriars Bridge (Young's beers) further along the river towards the Tate Modern is quite good and you get great views from the terrace.

  3. LE BURGER KING IS GOOD

  4. YES!

If you face the "eye" on the left are a few nice eating places.

  5. You have 12 good restaurants within 500m from London Eye, check here - http://www.squaremeal.co.uk/restaurants/...

  6. From the London Eye, if you walk down beside the Thames, heading away from parliament, there are a load of new places under the Royal Festival Hall that face on to the Thames. They are typical chain places, Giraffe, Strada etc. If you walk further that direction, then just after LWT is Gabriels wharf, where there is a great lunch place, (Studio 6?). It will be full of people from ITV though, and does not have a view of the river.

And there is always the Oxo tower.

  7. Try the following

Pizza Express on South Bank which is a five-minute walk from the London Eye.

Chez Gerard - which is a French restaurant styled on a 1930's Parisian brasserie located on the South Bank just two minutes walk from the London Eye.

    Adult two course £18.50

    Adult three course £28.50

Locale (formerly Loco Mensa) Locale is a newly refurbished Italian restaurant about 5 minutes away from the  London Eye. It offers freshly prepared authentic Italian cuisine in a relaxed and informal setting.

Livebait Seafood Restaurant - Livebait Seafood restaurant offers arguably the best fish and chips in town. Located just ten minutes from the London Eye, the restaurant has a friendly and informal atmosphere.

Skylon Restaurant - Situated on the third floor of the recently refurbished Royal Festival Hall, just moments from The London Eye, Skylon offers a spectacular panorama of London's skyline with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the River Thames. The restaurant is located on the second floor of the Royal Festival Hall, just a two-minute walk along Queens Walk from the London Eye.

Bateaux London lunch Cruise Combine fine food and spectacular river views of some of London's best-known sites on your hour and a half lunch cruise with Bateaux London. The Bateaux dress code is formal (no jeans / shorts / trainers). Embankment pier is a 5 - 10 minute walk from the London Eye over the pedestrian Golden Jubilee Bridges.

  10. Theres a lot of eating places near the London Eye and they are all good.

  11. There is nothing there.  You can walk up that side of the Thames for about a mile or so and find some expensive boutiqueish restaurants near the Tate.  The only thing I found was an AWESOME video arcade and a Mickey D's.

  12. Don't take her to a restaurant, do a really 'nice/funky' packed lunch.

It's more romantic, you can sit just about anywhere and it's cheap, no waiters/waitresses interrupting your conversation and.. if you really did want to spend money on her, put it towards an extra special gift.

    Have a great day!

  13. it is an expensive part of town.Under Waterloo Bridge,(nr to the eye),you can eat at the national theatre and watch the world go by,or just go for pub grub towards Southwark
