I'd like to gauge oponions on restaurants in Altrincham, I have my own opinions but I'd like to see what others think.

My favourite place to eat at the moment is The Victoria, the menu is very eclectic, over the weekend I had pan fried rabbit loin with ******* which tasted fantastic. It makes such a change to see something different.

Its reasonably priced and the service is good, only downside is the background music which was too loud at my particular table.

  1. TRY THE

    Manhattan bar & grill

  2. The Victoria is good isn't it? the menu is seasonal too so it changes regularly..a really good addition to the restaurant scene in Altrincham.

If you havn't tried it yet the give Juniper a go, The have special days two nights a week when it's either £35 or £40 a head for a set menu, wine is extra but if you're after something really different and michelin starred then go here.

Amba in Hale is good so is the bar and grill at the bottom of Westgate but you'll have to book early to get in..the food's good though.

I've also heard good things about Earle in Hale but havn't been there yet. Danilos is good and a real Hale favourite, leave your (possible) pretentions at the door and have a good time!

Franks in Alty has been there for years and is consistently good although my partner had a really dodgy piece of venison there once, i'm sure this is the exception rather than the rule.

For a top class indian go to Dilli on the main road, I've been there 3 times, the food is fantastic but unfortunately the service is absolutely atrocious. We walked out on one occasion as we'd been sat at our table for over an hour and had not even been given a wine list OR menu, they apologised and blamed a shortage of staff but they could have or rather should have warned us there would be a significant wait and then stopped other diners walking in off the street! so watch out for this if you go there.

Apparently there's also the fat loaf in kings court in Alty, not been there myself but it gets a thumbs up from friends.

I hope that's enough for you to chew on!! enjoy yourself.

  3. If in doubt I always go to McDonalds.

You know what you are getting in advance.

    All the same

Well Moscow is identical to Benidorm although Seville was not quite as good Preston Docks

  4. If you like a good cheap Italian, I'd go to Portofino or Pagliacci's.

Francs on Goose Green is a brilliant restaurant with lovely food also.

  5. local fish shop
