Where's good to go from Kalamaki in Zakynthos?

Question

Am about to go on holiday and would really like some advice on where's good to visit and eat!! I'm a bit of a culture vulture - my daughter is too - but we also like to have fun! Have been to Greek Islands before - but would like to know is the local bus services are good too?!!

loads to see and do there, can recomend going to laganas to see the turtles, i went last june, best hol ive had, stayed in argassi, lovly place, friendly people, and plenty to do at night, have a good hol xx

Magichan, I think you have confused Kalamaki with Kalamata, or the village of Kalamaki in messinia.

From Kalamaki on Zakynthos you can see various places on the island, (famous ones are the shipwreck & the caves)check out www.tripadvisor forums for loads of info & suggestions.

You can also visit the mainland to see Olympia or a 2 day trip to Athens, a flying visit but you can get to see the Acropolis & a couple of other places of your choice. You can o either of these on organise trips or go independent, ther are several ferries a day to Killini on the Peloponnese.

Also possible on a day trip is Kefallonia, time for quite a few sights there too.

Do some research before you go & check out all trip options as soon as you get there, pick out the ones that appeal to you most & have a wonderful time!
