I used to live in Hyde Park.  There is a place called Medici, close to the University.  A Lot of the college crowd and staff go there.  It was amazing.  I have to go back every time I visit.

Gino's East is real good and real consistent. They have several locations so give them a try.

about 18-20 years ago there was a small, one location place on the north side of the city, north around Irving Park Road, yet 2-3 blocks south of Irving Park, I forget the street, it was 6-10 blocks from the lake. The name began with a "B" . They had GREAT Pizza.
