Where's the best place for Surf Kayaking in the South West of England?

OK, on the assumption that surf kayaking requires the same conditions as surfing (i.e. decent swell, ideally a slight offshore breeze to stand the wave up)

If this is the case, I'd suggest Saunton Sands/Croyde/Putsborough/Woolecombe in North Devon, near Barnstaple, and then as you work south on that coast, Bude, Polzeath and Watergate Bay.

Oh, and when you're surf kayaking, please remember to give us surfers a chance on waves. You guys and gals can catch them further out as you've gotpaddles whereas we.ve only got hands, and it can be a bit irritating when kayaks nick *every* wave :)
