Where's the best place to buy an umbrella in London?

It's always raining here, especially during summer. Where would be a good place to get a quality umbrella and some good advice?

Hmmm..I'd go for an outdoor activities shop like Blacks or Millets. They're not cheap but always have lot's of outdoor pusrsuits equipment and should be able to give you some advice..  Not knowing where in London you are I can't advise where to go...but there are plenty about :)

The best umbrella shop I know of is:

James Smith & Sons (Umbrellas) Ltd

53 New Oxford St

The company was founded in 1830 and has been in its current premises since 1857. It is the largest umbrella shop in Europe.

Other good places to try might be large department stores or menswear stores.
