Banners is really cool, great chicken, fish, etc relaxed, homely, just Nuts as u walk away from the clock tower - feels like an american bar, loads of memorabelia, friendly staff, about £7 for a main - check it out

Bistro Aix, 54 Topsfield Parade. Tel:  [phone].  It's a sleek French Bistro, generally regarded as being almost too good for the area. Fantastic food, good music, colourful décor with interesting paintings.  Bon appét*t!
