Ok, so I want to take my girlfriend somewhere classy. Right now I am torn between 'The Top of the World" in the Stratosphere, Prime Steakhouse in the Bellagio, Bouchon in the Venetian, and Picasso in the Bellagio.

The biggest thing for me is the atmosphere. I'm sure that the food will be good at each, but I like the idea of a view of the fountain show at Bellagio or the scenic strip view from atop the Stratosphere. I really want to take here somewhere that will make her feel like I am still trying to impress her after all this time.

  1. You have to go to the Bellagio, make sure you ask for a view of the fountains. I wouldn't go to the Stratosphere either..the view is great but the food is lacking although that isn't the priority.

  2. Go to a fancy romantic place

I reccomend a restarunt in the veneyian

  3. I personally don't find anything about the Stratosphere classy. The view might be beautiful, but I would be very surprised if they served a good meal.

My favorite classy restaurants with good atmosphere are Commander's Palace and Delmonico Steakhouse. I think she would be impressed by either of those. No view of the fountains, however.

  4. Don't go to Top of the World - the view is good but the food is only okay.  Ditto for the Eiffel Tower place in the Paris.  Picasso is really, really good and the atmosphere is nice with real Picasso paintings on the wall.

Another place that I really enjoyed (but it was a few years ago so you should check some reviews to make sure it's still top notch) is Alize at the Palms.  The food was wonderful and it's at the top of the casino so the views are great (make sure to ask for a table with a good view at the time of booking, if possible).

Guy Savoy at Caesar's also has a really special atmosphere (they even have little stands for your purse and the service is impeccable).  The food is spectacular.  However, it is exceedingly expensive, much more so than the other restaurants I mentioned.  For two of us it was over $800 with tip, so just beware.  We did get the 10-course tasting so it can be done for cheaper.

  5. Aureole, in Mandalay Bay, is FABULOUS.  And it has a very unique atmosphere... they have 'wine angels' dressed in black that get wine bottles by rapelling through this huge glass tower.

Hm, tough to explain, but it's very cool.  Here's a link to the site... if you click on 'wine' you'll see what I mean.  http://www.aureolelv.com/

    Have a great trip!  :)

  6. I have been to all except the Stratosphere.

Bouchon has really good wine choices.

Lone Star is also really good, only you must make reservations or you will not get to eat.
