  1. Do u really mean Fish and Chips? I suspect NewYorkers WON'T know what you mean: ask them for "Fillet of Fish and French Fries" and see what they say; after they've directed you to the nearest McDonalds! (probably 2 inches away!),  they'll come up with a few places.

  2. A Salt and Battery on Greenwich Avenue between 12th and 13th. Great fish (particularly the haddock) and chips and awesome pineapple fritters.

  3. lol. London England. I love those guys in the stupid costumes outside of the "Fish n' Chippers" in London. good times

  4. the Chip Shop! There are two in Brooklyn.  One is in Park Slope and the other is in Bay Ridge.

It's basically pub fare and then some.  If you're feeling more adventurous you can order some hagis there too, but as the menu says, you shouldn't order it if you don't already know what it is.

Another good place for food in the fish and chips vein is a place called A Salt and Battery.  I believe that is in the Greenwich Village area.  I haven't tried the place myself, but my friends rave about it.

  5. fish and chips? what are you talking about?

  6. A Salt and Battery is the most famous in NYC. Check it out at http://www.menupages.com

Click on NYC and type in A Salt and Battery

  7. Red Lobster

  8. There's a British owned and run place in the west village called "A Salt and Battery"  It's a little hole in the wall take out place.  Very good.
