    Avoid Normandy at all costs.


  2. i went to the Dordogne in the South West of France once.

    it was really beautiful, and i think i heard like just two other british families when i was there, and even that was just on the campsite

    don't wear shorts, especially those creased baggy ones

    skip the sandals, even if you aren't wearing socks with them

    get a good haircut

    iron your shirt

    don't talk loudly in restaurants

    everyone will think you are French!

  4. It's almost impossible to avoid Brits in France.  We have a 1000 years of history you see..

    We Brits travel more than any other nationality so no matter where you are in the world - we'll be there to greet you!

    To avoid in the summer, head inland - all the brits are in the south of France

  7. Try Corsica, up in the maquis.

  8. Center (Berry etc) and North  Eastern France ( Alsace, Vosges, Ardennes)....but there you got the Germans, Dutch etc :-)

    or try the roundabouts  on the road.....they avoid them like the plague lol !!! or...get stuck in them !!!!
