  1. Definately Cornwall but equally as good is Devon or many places on the South Coast.

  2. The best looked after beach in England is Sandbanks, in Poole. It is a lovely sandy beach.

There are some great rural beaches down in Cornwall and many other places.

But if you want to go to a city, then I'd recommend Brighton. Great place, but pebbly beach.

  3. Forget it go to Florida

  4. Cornwall is good, places like Bude and St.Ives particularly.

Also the Ramsgate/Broadstairs area is nice, and Bournemouth, although the latter is very popular and can get very crowded.

If you're up North, Scarborough has a nice beach.

  5. I like go to nearest seaside places like some daytrips by train or   by coaches as some companies organise some day trip. See your local paper or ask at your local tourist information office, as they will know local travel arrangements.

  6. st ives in cornwall

  7. North Yorkshire, it is so beautiful, the coast road takes you to every place. whitby and scaborough are towns and I love them so much. The scenery is fantastic, and there is a seaside village at every turn.

  8. the jurassic north coast of cornwall is breathtaking.

  9. As others have said - Cornwall has lots of beautiful beaches.

Also Northumberland has long beautiful beaches although it can get cold.

  10. Brighton.

  11. It isn't a city, but I have to stick to my roots and say either Prestatyn or Llandudno in North Wales. They are super clean beaches, but are relatively unknown as so they are always quiet, even on very hot days. Perfect if you are concerned about showing off your bikini body!

  12. Cornwall,

    Devon,

    South Coast,

    North Yorkshire Coastline,

    Dorset,

    Northumberland Coastline,

    Brighton,

    Poole,

  13. I live on the coast, Saltburn by the Sea which is in North Yorkshire... there is plenty of coastline, too... Whitby and Scarborough - but i'm not sure they are great.

I'd love to go to the English Riviera http://www.englishriviera.co.uk/

That looks pretty good in my opinion!

  14. Cornwall has the best beaches in England, but Cornwall is a County, not a City.

By far my favourite is Lansallos Cove, almost always deserted, with a little waterefall flowing onto the beach. Just 2 miles from my home.
