it would be helpful if you said what area or zip code, but my personal favorite in sacramento california area is Fresh Choice. It's  a buffett, but it's salad oriented. Everything you could possibly think of to put on a salad,,plus some chinese chicken salad/tuna salad/pasta salads/fruit. And they have 4 kinds of soup, fresh made rolls and variety of drinks like sobe/teas and soda if you want it. Reasonable price of $8 for dinner.
