I really enjoyed Dublin and the  Irish countryside/coast. In dublin there was great shopping and lots of pubs and things to do. and at the same time it was VERY laid back. no one was really in a rush anywhere but things were going on all around. and the country side is beautiful. down the southeast coast we found a spot full of seals that were just playing for hours.

the first time i went away by myself. montreal, canada. beautiful. the weather was fantastic at the end of august. i had 2 weeks and felt i saw pretty much everything that i wanted to see. great architecture. great nightclubs. biosphere is great, olympic park is lovely. casino is fun. cheap but nice hotel. easy access day trips eg quebec. overnight trip to niagara falls with a pop into the cnn tower in toronto. i felt right at home and knew my way around montreal at the end of my fantastic holiday. i have thousands of photos to bring back fond memories.
