Amazon.com is extremely popular among blu-ray users, because of its low prices. It gets a little complicated though: The blu-ray format uses a region protection sceme similar to that used by the DVD format. North America is Region A, and Europe is Region B, so discs purchased from amazon.com may not play on European players.

There's good news though: Most of the discs released are in fact region free and can be played anywhere. When I want to buy a blu-ray movie I always check this list: http://bluray.liesinc.net/

If the movie is region free I buy it on amazon. If not, I head over to play.com.

This does not strictly speaking answer your question, as amazon isn't in the UK... but even so it may be the cheapest place to get blu-ray discs for people living in the UK.
