Where's the heat?

You had high pressure over the UK lately and that had cause a very dry airmass for the most part and as a consquence you got a lot of solar heating from the sun.  That is generally offset by cloud cover and rain.   The rain causes cooling as it evaporates.   Absent that,   you have warmer conditions.

Now that high pressure has moved off, you have more normal conditions as a cold front moved through.

It was pretty warm in south TX yesterday, and today's forecast for my area is 91 F or about 33 C.
