Where Can I Buy A Rain Alert ?

I'm looking for a product, available in the UK, which will alert us if it starts raining - Perhaps by sounding a buzzer. I'm not looking for something that forecasts rain, or measures rain, just a device that warns me if it has started raining.

i usually get the kids to play out and scream when it starts raining...its all a game to them but it works for me lol liz.. (mum of 6)

Cheap way to do this!

  Check which cars have automatic windscreen wipers that start when it rains (such as Peugeot), go along to your nearest scrapyard and take off the sensor, which is usually situated at the top of the windscreen behind the rear view mirror. Make a box with glass top, fit in sensor wired to a  buzzer and "Hey Presto" a rain alert.

Don't forget you need a 12volt supply.   :0)
