    Try Lookcube at http://www.lookcube.com

    Post your ad under the appropriate Services category. Creating an ad is really fast and easy and you can include pictures if you want.

    The nice thing about Lookcube is that since it's new your ad will really stand out. The other nice thing about Lookcube is that your ad will stay posted for 45 days. With Craigslist, your ad will expire after 7 days, so you have to spend more time reposting it. And since Craiglist is so popular your ad could easily get lost in the crowd.

    The URL above is a site that allows you to advertise for free. What you do is you sign-up for free, but in order to do that you must view a certain number of websites (no more than 10) for 15 seconds. After that, you confirm your email and then log-in were you can then type in the name of your website and its URL that you want to advertise. Then, you get people to visit the site (t2000ultra) through your referral link. When they sign-up, they must view your site for 15 seconds. After your referrals do that they get people to join through their referral links. But your referrals referral(s) must view their referrers site AND yours for 15 seconds in order to sign-up. And the process continues until you have millions of people viewing your site for at least 15 seconds.

  5. Try submitting a couple of photos (ideally they'll be >1MB each) and an article about your small business to the local newspaper.  

    Put your small business URL, company name, slogan, and phone# at the bottom of EVERY email you send out (use the electronic signature feature), and make sure you send something to everybody you know.  Never underestimate word of mouth advertising!

    Ask your past and current customers to sign up for your blog or bulletin or newsletter, and send them updates about your business (always upbeat, maybe about a new service you've begun to offer or about a fun customer story, or about any specials you're having, or about your new customer referral discount that you're about to offer, etc.).

    Make sure your website content is full of key words that will help potential customers find you.  (Hint:  Ask your friends and family what THEY think the key words might be, for someone looking for your services/products...  the list is not always what you'd think!).

    Try looking up your business by industry, in places such as Yahoo!Local - - make sure your business is well represented there!  You can now upload photos and text about your business, your URL, and ask your best customers to add a Customer Review!
