  1. The best deep dish pizza in LA is not Chicago style, but it's pretty d**n good. It's at Masa, on Sunset Blvd in Echo Park/Silverlake.

    Masa

    1800 W Sunset Blvd

    Los Angeles, CA 90026

    Phone: (213) 989-1558

House wine is $20 a bottle, and definitely good. Owners used to work for Patina. Good deep dish is a slow process, so you have to order 1 hour ahead!

  2. I lived in the LA area for 19 years of my life and I never did find anywhere to get a good real tasting pizza that is deep dish out there. I have been to Chicago and tried there pizza more than once. I do not think that anywhere out there in L.A. even comes close. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news!

  3. BJ's Chicago restaurants, its as good as it gets! but save room for a pizookie (a cookie the size a pizza with ice cream). Bon Appetit

  4. BJ's Pizza, grill  and Brewery.   It is a chain that has several locations in the LA area.

  5. Taste Chicago in Burbank has a terrific Chicago-style deep dish pizza.

Stone Fire Pizza in LA also has a decent Chicago-style deep dish pizza.

Finally, Banducci's Famous Chicago Style Pizza in Lakewood does a great job and was voted LA's Best Pizza by MyFoxLA.

  6. Drive on north to the Bay Area- Oakland or Berkeley specifically. Enjoy the best Chicago deep dish on the West Coast!

I lived in L.A, for years and quite agree- no deep dish pizza to be found! :(
