Question:

Where Can I Get My Car Radio Decoded?

My radio has some anti theft device so the radio doesn't work when the battery is taken out. I'm not skilled enough to attempt to remove the factory fitted radio to find the serial number so I can decode it myself. So I'm going to need to take it to a specialist to get it done. I live in South East London, does anyone know anywhere near me I can go? And how much would this cost? My car is a 2002 Vauxhall Corsa and I am aware that taking it to Vauxhall may cost me even more.

Thanks in advance!

  1. Easiest way is to go to a Vauxhall dealer. They can get the details from the registration number of the car, or will take the radio out (2 minute job) and get the serial number. I did this with my Landrover, no charge from the dealer.

  2. Join this forum, and ask the guys on there. They did my code in about 10 minutes, and it didn't cost a been.

  3. Just google " decode my radio " for a list of companies

    or try http://www.car-audio-accessories.co.uk/?...

You will need to remove radio to get to the serial number
