I've also read where some people put up a large paper tooth and write the name of the student who lost one of their teeth on the paper tooth.

I do the large paper tooth graph!  I write the child's name and date on it with a sharpie and then let them decorate it.  We have always put them on the walls and graphed each month, but I also thought it would be cool to make a class book and take the child's picture with a toothless grin to put beside it!  Kids always love seeing their pictures!  Hope this helps!
