  1. It all depends on HOW MUCH MONEY you have?  What are you going to use it for?

I would get a Alison 250 that is timed out. It weighs about 150lbs but produces from 300 shaft hp on up to 500 shaft hp.

  2. Try build one....

    http://www.vortechonline.com/jets/

Or source these guys for parts or complete engines

  3. Your question is pretty vague.  Do you want a brand new one?  How big (powerful) an engine do you want?  How complete does it need to be; that is, do you need to include control, electrical, and bleed air systems?

If you want a brand new one, you will need the advice of the sales department of the manufacturer.  Just look them up on the Internet.  If you want a salvage engine, look up "aircraft salvage."  Remember that even a junk turbofan will sell for many thousands of dollars.

    Good luck.

  4. The first place to check is at United air lines or any of the air

plane companies and see where they sell there retired air

planes at,  And maybe you can call or go on line too see about retired  air force jets.

That would be a beginning and one call could lead to some where you can purchase one,, even the Internet.

       Good Luck..                      b.Jerry30
