I have loads of old cables (ie cables for plugging digital cameras, turntables, into a PC, internet cables etc, basic SCART leads and things from consumer electronics etc).

They are not worth much so it would not be worth trying to sell them on eBay and charity shops etc don't accept them

  1. Look up your local recycler, or metal scrap yard.  They'll take them for the copper.

  2. Most councils have a recycling facility which includes a skip for scrap metal. From there it is sorted and sold on to specialists.

  3. Try Earth911.org to see if there are any places in your area that accept these items.  When I searched in my zip code I was able to find a place to take it but it does vary by zip.
