I think he may take a two-way contract. I love the guy, but his skill very limited. If McCarty comes back, there may not be room for him.

He is gone! McCarty was offered a contract today and it isnt 2way..... Means Downey is done as a WING!

I hope he lands on his skates (feet).  I personally like the guy.

Holland says he will offer a contract to Aaron Downey, most likely a 2 way.  Its whether or not Downey will accept it is the question.  With the Wings team the way it is, who wouldn't want to sign with them?  Downey would be smart to accept.....
