I would doubt Leather would be coming from India!!!

I would suspect Brazil.

Geez, India is a major producer of cattle product.   There production is reving up lately, though.

Ireland is the largest supplier of raw leather to England.

US I think is the largest supplier of raw leather to the world, but they sell it to China and other country to manufacture finished products.

Edit:  Sorry misread the data.   Italy is the largest importer of both finish and raw leatehr to England.

edit:  Italy is actually the largest in the world.   China might be, but not according to trade laws.   According to world trade laws, China, Hong Kong and Macau are seperate identities.  If tehy are combined, they might outway Italy.  I think the other thing you need to clarify is what do you mean where leatehr comes from.    Finish leather, leather itself or the raw hide that leather is made from.   I think US produce the most hides adn sends it to China to be processed then made into finish product.

I remember some production chain for jackets where Brazil sends hides to china to make leather for SOuth Korean's to turn it into jackets that is sold in Russia.
