  1. In certain prototype cars and rockets, liquid hydrogen is burnt (combined with oxygen) to release water as exhaust. It's the cleanest type of fuel we know of at the moment...

    Hydrogen (symbol H2) two molecules of which combine/burn with one molecule of oxygen (symbol O2) to form two water molecules according to the following equation:

    2H2 + O2  ==> 2H2O (water)

  2. google "fuel cell"

  3. hydrogen is used as rocket fuel along with oxygen. its also used in fuel cells to generate battery power. this power is used to power anything from lighting in homes and offices to fuelling cars..

    the following reaction takes place in the fuel cell,

    2H2 + O2 -> 2H2O.

    this reaction is highly exothermic, so a large quantity of heat is generated within the fuel cell. this heat can be transformed into analogous form of energy and put to use appropriately.
