I don't want to go to petsmart, petco, walmart, etc to buy guppies. And I want some pretty pure color guppies. Thanks

  1. Like Danielle above me, I regularly go to Wet Pets for my animals.

I've recently purchase snails from Seahorse up in Gibsonia (Route 8 south of the turnpike), which have done very well. I can't speak for the freshwater tanks, but I would be leery about buying saltwater fish, as I don't like the conditions that they're kept in. I've heard recently that they might be closing, but that may be just a rumor.

Elmer's, in Monroeville, is a place I'd go to if I had to...again, I prefer the health of the animals at WetPets. Their selection is a little bit wider than the other two places, and some of the employees have proven themselves knowledgable and useful in the past. Some of their equipment is also a little bit cheaper, if you ever need to look into it.

  2. What part of Pittsburgh are you from?  (I live here too) There is a place called wet pets in McMurray that is a great place with all types of guppies and supples   It is on 19 just north of Donaldson's cross roads.

They also have a web page.

There is also a place in Cranberry, but I do not know the name (since they changed it)

There is also a great place in Weirton WV called Little Cridders (email if you want the number) where I buy most of my fish salt and fresh.  You can always call to see what they have.   Really great people and worth the 20 min. drive

Bridgeville had a great place in the Southern Shopping plaza (next to Giant Eagle)and recently was bought out.  I was just there.  Their stock is low right now but they are switching everything over and will back and running full stock in a week.
