Where I can find the model or the manufacturing year on Mercedes-Benz?

Most cars have the production date listed on a sticker in the drivers side door jamb. It will be listed in a two digit month/two digit year format. In order to find the model, if it's not listed on the vehicle itself, you may have to call your local Mercedes dealership and read them the V.I.N.#, try the parts department. Hope this helps.

There is a metal plate riveted to the drivers door jamb that has that info stamped on it. If the plate is missing or is not legible there is another plate with the model and engine number riveted to the firewall in the back of the engine compartment. If all else fails get the VIN# and take it to the parts counter at a Mercedes dealer, or call them on the phone. It's fast and easy to get the info you need from them!

Look at the VIN No.  The model year is indicated by the 10th character in the VIN.  If it is a:

B - 1981

C - 82

D - 83

E - 84

F - 85

G - 86

H - 87

J - 88 ( I was skipped because it may be confused with a "1" )

K - 89

L - 90

M - 91

N - 92

P - 93 ( O skipped )

R - 94

S - 95

T - 96

V - 97 ( U skipped )

W - 98

X - 99

Y - 2000

Starting in 2001, Mercedes ( as well as all other manufacturers ) began using numbers to signify the model year:

1 - 2001

2 - 2002 and so on...

For the model of Benz, if the model is not mentioned on the trunk, call or visit your Benz dealer with the VIN no.  with that, they can tell you what model it is, which engine and transmission combination it has, etc.

the year is on the drivers door post by where it latches, the model is normally on the trunk.
