Question:

Where Should I move within the southeast?

Im at a loss for where to move, i need to leave Maine because I can't stand living here and I want to live in the south but not too far west def. not texas and not florida, will consider Carolinas, Virginia, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, WV or Kentucky, need a 4 season climate and a medium sized city not a major one

  1. Look into the Carolinas.  I think you'd be happiest there.  I live in Alabama now.  Have lived in Mississippi and North Carolina.  Have family in Atlanta (they hate it there).  You definitely don't want Alabama or Mississippi.


  2. have you considered Nashville, TN? We moved here 7 years ago from Las Vegas and absolutely love it here. It is the perfect size city, but still retains a small town feel. There is tons to do, people are great, cost of housing is still good, 4 seasons but fairly mild, good job opportunities, no state income tax, great shopping and restaurants and 2 lakes. It's really a fabulous place!

  3. The hills of West Virginia are nice, you will get the 4 seasons & a good selection of mid-sized towns to choose from.   If you prefer ocean, try the Ocean City, MD area.  Not a big city but has plenty to do & home prices if you go a bit inland are reasonable.  Branson, Missouri fits your description,  depending on how much you like "country" living.    Hope this gives you some ideas.
