Where a great place to volunteer?

I would like to volunteer to put something on my college application.I really don't like people that much and don't want to deal with them. And I really don't really don't want to work in place where there loads of them. I was think about working at the library.

Not being fond of working with people presents a challenge but perhaps you can volunteer at the local Bide-a-Wee or SPCA or Humane Society.  (That's assuming you do like animals).  Otherwise, you can also work in a kitchen or mail room or something at a facility for people (hospital, nursing home, etc.) but this way there is less public interaction.  Just some thoughts for you.

I volunteered at the library when I was a teen. There are a lot of people there, so maybe animals is a better answer, unless you have allergies. Then, I would say volunteer at an old people's home.

If you don't like to be around people, finding a place to volunteer is going to be hard.

How about volunteering to clean up your town or something.
