  1. It all depends on your beliefs... you may get more replies if you put this in philosophy. I don't believe in the story of Adam and Eve... so I can't really help you...

  2. From what I can figure, both.  Notice the word Eve, it has three letters and Adam four letters. Abel, Cain, Seth, Ruth, Mary all have 4 letters.  Eve starts with an "E" like the word "eternal" making it a name of importance. The first and last letter are the same, giving it a balance.  I propose that the "E" is the sunrise and the sunset. "V" has been found in Neanderthal relics. It seems to do with females as in the word "Virgin" and "Venus". Also, it has to do with containers such as "Vase".  It is thought that two mountains with a valley inbetween was like the mother earth. The two mountains -breast and the valley...well....reproductive area of the female especially a cave, being the womb.  The capital "E" is suppose to be a window which would look out upon the sunrise/set. The small "e" is a semicircle which is what the sunrise/set looks like. The word "Eve" is simple yet very rich in meaning.   If I am right then "E" would have been the first letter of the alphabet of the people who came up with the name. Adam is similar in that the "A" surrounds the "d" but the "d" means judge and "m" means "many". It has more of a complex message and different alphabet. It just seems to me the two words have no connection and that "eve" is much, much older than Adam.

  3. Adam and Eve? In Anthropology?  I don't believe in that myth, so I can not help you. I gather this to be a joke right? Peking (Peaking) man. We do have evidence of an African Eve thru MtDNA.

  4. That question is hard and might be impossible to answer depending on what your beliefs are. They could not have been neandethal, because they died out and never became human.

  5. they are only 100 generations away or so. and so

  6. The scientific Adam was homo sapien.

  7. Legendary Adam & Eve, if they did indeed live by those names, would have been born around year One of the Jewish calendar, which is about 5700+ years old...

Around that time, eastern semitic tribes, originating from the Zagros Mountains, entered the Fertile Crescent of the Mesopotamian Valley!

Neanderthals disappeared 24,000 years ago, and Cro-Magnon were last seen in Europe 10,000 years ago...

Therefore Adam & Eve would have been Modern Humans!
