I am a fairly large framed woman, 23 years of age. I look like I weigh about 130-140 but I weigh in at 183! This is insane to me! I'll admit that I have a little bit of padding on the thighs, upper arms and stomach, but that padding is also covering some serious muscle (which is really what makes up most of the bulk). I'm 5'5 ish, and I do have very broad shoulders, but my waist is a modest pants size of 8. I'm fairly active, I walk for about 45 minutes everyday, and run three miles three to four times a week. Also I bellydance one day, and rock climb the next (and let me tell you, hoisting 180+ pounds up a climbing wall is HARD work). I eat three meals a day, starting with yogurt and granola for breakfast, a sandwich of sorts for lunch and grilled chicken breast with vegetables for dinner (I'm too lazy to really vary my diet). I also take whey protein and flax seed supplement. I've been getting compliments on the inches I've lost, but my poundage keeps going up. I know that muscle weighs more than fat, but I think 40 pounds of it is slightly rediculous for someone who isn't body building and is kind of squishy. Does anyone have any idea what might be going on with me?
