Where am i from (backround) exactly i am confused thanks

i was born in japan and lived there for 4 years then moved to korea. but my whole family members are korean but i was just born in japan so whats my backround just korean or half japanese and korean? thanks!

  1. If your parents are Korean, you are also Korean.  Where you were born and where you live don't make a difference in your nationality.


  2. You are Koran because your parents are Korean. I think your nationality or citizenship would be Japanese because you were born there and maybe Korean because of your parents (unless they have some rule against that). Ask your parents they will tell you the right answer.

  3. Citizenship and ethnicity are two different things entirely.  My father's parents emigrated from Ireland, and since he was born in America, he is an American citizen of Irish descent.

    You were born a Japanese citizen if you were born on Japanese soil.  (If you were born in, say, an embassy, then your citizenship would be that of the country the embassy represents.)

    Your ethnic background is, however, Korean, because that's what your parents and family are.  

    Specifically, you are a Korean Japanese.
