Where and What to see in Halong Bay Vietnam?

We are looking to visit Halong Bay later this year but we can not find and images how is Halong Bay look like, some one told me that Halong bay in Vietnam is very beautiful ????

1. Where is Halong Bay Vietnam

Halong Bay is 170 km from the capital of Vietnam (Hanoi) about 170 km on the North East region of the country and in the south China Sea. Its take about 3 and a half hour by car from Hanoi. Halong Bay actually contents of 1969 islands and islets rising from the blue water on the area of 15.000  square kilometers.

The bay very spectacular because of their islands and islets. Its one has the independend shape, size and colour with rich of vegetation. There are many beautiful caves to see during your visit to the bay. There are also many stunning beacheses can be swim if you do the trip on Summer and Auturm time.

The best way to see and tour the bay is by Chinese Junk Boat departures from Hanoi. The tour range from one day to 3 days is normally and longer rtrip are also available  depending on the time you have.

If you are looking for independent trip we recommend you to take private trip. Its mean that the trip just arrange for you on a private junk and transportation (we did 2 days 1 night this kind of trip, great)

The bay is very beautiful so better dont book the budget trip, because this kind of trip may effect your time by the cheap type and non value of services on the not secure boat ( advoid the cheap tours provided by budget agencies)

We took a cruise on Halong bay last year and we are planning on doing it again on 20 June 07.  A very beautiful place to visit.  Hard to explain in writing.  The Junks are safe, fun and the food fantastic.  Go and enjoy.  cheers.

Sight seeing in Hanoi is very very interesting, You will enjoy 2 day trip to beautiful Halong Bay.  There are 3000 inslands in the bay "said to be the dragon descended into the sea"- Long = Dragon .
