Where and how can i recycle home PCs free in the North East of England?

Look for a WEE distributor in your area

I had  the same problem.  After cleaning out all info, I took it to my local council recycling centre where they has a special skip for computer equipment.  There was no charge.

Your local council will take it (at the recycle centre, not collection) Although be careful who you give the PC too. There may be personal info accessable through the harddrive (bank details and such).
