Where and how do you type in the cheat codes for Guitar Hero Aerosmith?

I have the cheats but I don't know where to type them, or how I type them in. Do I type them in on the main screen? Do I press the button and strum it? If I have to strum it, lets say there is a row of 6 reds. Can I hold red and strum 6 times, or do I have to hold red, strum, let go, hold red, strum, let go, etc.? I have a lot of questions. Please help me.

You go to the options page and go to cheats. Just like guitar hero 3 if you have ever entered cheats on it. When you are in the cheat area you just press the buttons and strum like you are playing notes.
