Where and when to take an SAT and ACT test.?

I am going to be a jr. in high school this year and i need to take the SAT and ACT test, but where can i take one? at my high school? and when? can i just ask my counselor to take the test or do i have to go to a certain place?

  2. As far as I know, you don't have to take both.  Colleges have a special chart now where they convert the scores to either the ACT or the SAT, depending on the one you have.  

    I believe both can be taken through your school.  Check with your counselor.

    I don't know about SAT (didn't take it), but if you wish to re-take ACT (or you were absent when it was at your school), June is the latest month you can take it.  All you have to do is register at actstudent.org.  They give you the location, time, needed supplies and everything.

  3. You take them at your high school. They are offered almost every month, the first one in October and the last one in June.

  4. You can register to take the ACT on ACT.org. You get an account, and then you can choose a date and testing location in your area.
