Books seem really exepensive in Sydney, and there is no amazon so what do people do, to get cheap books?

  2. Join Bookcrossing.com and the local yahoo groups  BCAUS and bcsydmeetup  A great way to link in with other friendly people and release/acquire books either online or in person.

    Also check out Basement Books in the subway at Central station.

  3. Top end of King Street Newtown, there is a great 2nd hand book store called Goulds. A bit of a mess, and you have to search through shelves and shelves, but VERY cheap, and they have 10000000s of books. Otherwise try Glebe markets on a saturday.
