I constantly hear on mind control news like cnn that up to 90% of the American people are fed up with the constant slaughter and unrelenting bloodbath in Iraq.I've also heard that this "war" greatly eclipses Viet Nam in it's unpopularity with the American people.Where are all the protesters?

  1. I hear about protest marches being held pretty frequently. So to answer your question, They're out there.

CNN doesn't report nearly as much as they should, but I would hardly call them "mind control news". That would mean that they would have to gain my attention in the first place. I prefer C-Span 2.

  2. I was in college during the Vietnam war and took part in many protests. Back then we in the American public felt we had power to direct the working of our government. Previous to the War in Iraq, there were war protests. There were many protests. We knew Bush was intentionally misleading and trying to link Iraq to 9-11. But people wanted blood, they wanted retaliation for 9-11. No one listened to the protesters, our congressmen and senators were complicit. I don't know anyone who still believes the war against Iraq was right or will even admit to voting for Bush. People have lost faith in our government and our elected officials. Why protest if it won't do any good?

  3. Being busted by state police. Why do you think they show you shows like cops? its a reminder that state power rules and there's nothing you can do.

  4. They are crying and moaning into their half-calf double mocha caramel latte and biscotti at Starbucks.  You are talking about the most pathetic group of treasonous  people in the history of this nation.

  5. Show me a respectable mob and I will show you TV crew.

  6. They've most likely been discouraged by the propaganda that you can't oppose the war/occupation without disrespecting the troops. I swear somebody in the Administration is channeling Goebbels.

  7. Where, indeed?  I think most of those "polls" are complete nonsense and left-wing propaganda.

  8. To protest the war, you are in a way protesting the troops.

Most people who don't agree with the war still have respect for our troops out there.

  9. You will not hear it on CNN BUT most Americans support the war on terror.

  10. They are definitely out there, me being one of them. I was at a protest in DC and there were thousands I wouldn't be surprised if there was a hundred thousand people there. The large majority of us definitely respect the troops, we venerate them. For that reason we don't want anymore of them needlessly dying in a war started by lies and fought just for the sake of fighting.

  11. People only protest when they are personally made to suffer.  During the war in Vietnam, the draft encourage a lot of the protest against that war.

Now, young people are no longer threatened with the draft.  While the economy has gone down, it hasn't tanked enough to cause revolts similar to the ones in the 1930s.  This, of course, could change before too long.
